Opened in 1927 and designed by legendary Chicago architect Jarvis Hunt, 850 North Lake Shore Drive is a historically prominent 19-story Beaux-Arts style tower along the shores of Lake Michigan and parallel to Michigan Avenue. In 2021, Golub partnered with existing institutional ownership to take over the management and leasing of 850 N Lake Shore Drive.
Following the acquisition, Golub began repositioning the 198 apartment units and delivered elevated amenities: a lake room and lounge, indoor lap-style swimming pool and spa, dog park, rooftop skydeck, fitness center, valet parking garage and bicycle storage, and more. In addition to the enhanced amenity experience, Golub also created value through improved property operations, resulting in increased rental rates.
